Alaska 737-900's

I was just wondering if somebody could let me know if a 739 is capable of carrying a full load of pax cross country (BOS-SEA and vice versa). I seem to remember a few years ago these flights and others similar to them going out with empty seats because they were overweight. Thanks in advance.

To be on the safe side, I'd say No, they can't. I know they have the hardest time MIA to SEA. I don't know what the difference in mileage is though.

they can't, thats why boeing developed the -900er.
