Alaska 2 newhire classes in April?

A pilot in my squadron interviewed the middle of Feb and was put into the April class. Probably filling classes two months after the interview, so those interviewing now can expect to start in June. Alaska tends to hire a few "extras" and put them in a pool for upcoming classes. With another bid this summer of similar size to the current one, steady hiring should continue...

How many MD newhires so far in Mar/April? No more after that?

Saw another interviewee in the bldg today, so it appears the interviewing is ongoing.

2 in Mar, 2 in April. No more on this current bid. Rumor has the next bid in May with a late fall (Oct/Nov) effective date. How it all shakes out for the MD due to the reductions is anyone guess, but one guess has about 10 backfill positions.

So, the late August bid has been moved ahead? Is this as a direct result of less MDs this fall and more 737s? Makes sense...

I'm hoping to see about 20 or more backfills please!
