What's the better aircraft to fly right now at Airways? E190 or A320? Comfort, lines, ease, bases?

You'll hold a line quicker on the 190. However, the only base for it right now is PHL. I know it does a lot of Shuttle flying, but it seems to be branching out to more places.

On the 320, you have all 3 East bases to chose from. DCA does primarily Shuttle flying, but does have other trips. It seems to be the most junior and from what I hear, the quickest to a line. CLT is the most senior, but it's also the biggest East base.

I haven't flown the 190, but I've flown Embraer products in the past the Airbus blows them away as far as comfort. Both are fairly automatic as far as systems go.

Once the POR is signed, first year pay will be the same on both aircraft. Second year is significantly higher on the Airbus.

What has the average time from start til end of training been? That is... Indoc until ready for OE?

I would say 2 to 3 months for indoc to OE depending on the training cycle.

When I was recalled in 08 it was 3 months for the 190 that included a 25 day gap between systems and sim. Last year when I went to the 737 it was a month and a week from systems to OE. A few friends that just went from the 737 to the 767 were thru training and online in a month and a week or 2 also.

6 weeks of actual training before IOE. Breaks inbetween may stretch it out by a week or more

Indoc in PHX, the rest (systems and sim) in CLT?

For the most part. The first 2 weeks (Indoc) will be in PHX. Ground School and sims should be CLT, although I've heard of some ground school being sent to PHX. I guess it depends on how backed up CLT is. Sims should be in CLT.

Thanks for the help!
