Asking upgrade questions is important, but remember the answers mean zero.

FL717 is right on the money with this statement. When I was hired the average upgrade was right around 2 years, then subsequently dropped to just over a year about 6 months later. As the company began to phase out the -9's the upgrade time increased steadily to where it's at today.

Bottomline, like flx757 said:

But, until you are sitting in the upgrade class, no one really knows how long it will take.

Congrats to the newhires!

Anyone know of an approx. min total time they are looking at presently?

Catfish/Sensei, do they allow for the addition of 0.3/leg for military conversion of time?

Hope to be seeing you guys in ATL this fall... ;)

They never stated a conversion number. I always just talked straight flight hours.

I can't remember what the mins are. They are on the website. The most important thing to getting on with them is persistence. Find one or more people inside the company for a rec letter. Second best is AirInc Job Fairs. Both ways work.

Good luck,
Catfish

If I remember right I think the .3 hour/sortie is acceptable.
