Here it is, as-promised on Labor Day. I've been "laboring" all day to get it done. :)

Time to go enjoy my family. Please take the time to read this over the next few days and then cast your vote in an informed way.

Thanks for your continued support and have an enjoyable Labor Day!

I have a question......since da Tranny is losing new FOs by the busloads, WHY THE F*** are they trying to lower new hire pay??????

Lear70, that is a work of art! I've printed copies of the bullet point summary to give to anybody I fly with that thinks this thing is a good contract, and I'm going to carry a copy of the full rebuttal for a reference until this thing is over with. Thank God somebody is actually working for the pilots.

Now that the rebuttal is done, get to work on a campaign letter!!! :D

Well, we aren't really losing "busloads." We lose a few here and there, but nothing like what JetBlue has experienced this year. In the past couple of months, I've moved up about a dozen numbers, but some of those were retirements. I think they're counting on the higher second year pay to keep people from leaving, but I'm not so sure that will do it.

Regardless, why the f*** would they be trying to hose new hires?

What's JetBlue experienced this year? Do tell!!!!!!

From what I've heard from a friend that works there, JetBlue has lost more than 100 FOs this year. We haven't been experiencing that sort of exodus yet.

I agree, though. Screwing over the newhires is pathetic, and we should be trying to raise the newhire bar, not lower it down to where too many airlines have it now. I struggle to get by on what we make now. I can't imagine how tough it must be for a NWA newhire only making $30/hr.

"Delta pilots will, in all likelihood, gain 30-50% raises during our contract period." LOL....

Outstanding work indeed! Multiple copies go in my bag tomorrow. Time to spread the word to the uninformed.

Don't laugh. The man's right. I expect them to get a 6% profitability raise just in January, and those come every year until a new agreement as long as the company is profitable. In addition, during the duration of this TA, the DAL pilots will reach the amendable date, and they very well could get a new contract with big raises before ours becomes amendable again. We could be flying the same airplanes for 30%-50% less than the guys across the ramp.

The difference is, they aren't p#ssys!!!

Logoff next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah logoff next time!!!

But in answer to that accusation, that remains to be seen. At least as it appears on this board, they are putting up fight. Not only against corporate greed but their union leadership as well. Sad indeed..

Guys like Lear 70 are doing a grassroots campaign trying to educate their pilots. I hope it works. It's my belief that we'll all benefit from it. Keep up the good work Lear.

rebuttal points crucial

Gents, take the time to print out a couple of extra rebuttal points... well worth the effort and goes a long way in educating folks. Spoke with a couple quite a few who have not read any portion of the proposal. Anybody been able to get to a roadshow? Curious about the propaganda that is being spun. Please continue the education of the FACTS!!! Thanks again Lear.

Part of one. Skipper is telling people that the new scope language only allows 25 RJ's....total. WRONG.

Lear,

Thanks for the hard work. Please pass along thanks to the folks that helped out with the comparison. I voted NO, again. Hopefully, we can get this thing turned around and headed in the right direction soon. NO CONCESSIONS!!!

How did "they" cut first year pay? The negotiating team allowed it because nobody gives a sh1t about first year pilots, except of course, first yr guys and potential applicants. Pilot greed 101.

Actually, we have. According to the CPO, we have been averaging 7 - 10 a month, or 84 - 120 per year . . . . that's $3 million wasted in training costs that could have been spent on pilot pay and bennies.

.

Hose new hires....ha...they're trying to hose everybody. Although new hire pay at UAL and NWA at around $30/hr are lower, our buddies at JBLU are getting $41/hr.

We need to be a little closer to industry ave. pay and don't forget the work rules that eat into our pay if this thing passes.

Lear, thanks for the work.

Sooo, their answer is to lower first year pay? WTFO?????? I hope people stop showing up to new hire class. F***ers!!!!!

skipper's head is in the sand. he doesn't even understand what he negotiated.

Exactly like last time!! He is also arguing and demeaning like last time. AP selecting him for the Negotiating committee is grounds enough for a recall.

Skipper has his head up his own fat a$$. Better yet, I hear Doughboy has a class date with Southwest. What the heck is he doing negotiating our contract if he doesn't even want to be here. I'm starting to get worried that if we don't redouble our efforts this turd will pass and AP will save his political skin.
