Airtran rumored to start classes in Mar.

For those interested, I had a fellow co-worker go to the Air Inc, seminar in Dallas . He talked to Jill N. and was told that there will be two classes in March. Everyone in the pool should be in those two classes.

I ran in to the Capt. who teaches Indoc . . . he said March would be the next class.

Any idea on next round of Interviews

Thanks for the update, any idea on when they actually might start interviewing again? WIth the classes established to empty the pool, how soon should they start interviewing>

The conference call said two 717 in the first half of 2004 and four more in the second half. The 737's should start arriving in June, with 8 of them here by year's end. Figue 10 weeks training from Indoc through IOE . . . so that says pool fills the March classes, then April newhires for the 737, probably interviewing in Feb or March.

Figure 12 pilots per plane, and 15 retirements for the year, and you end up with about 180 pilots.
