I was advised to not list J.N on a cover letter or updates and instead list G.C or even higher K.G. I was trying to verify that based on previous searches that suggested that J.N was promoted. However the Air-inc site lists J.N as one of the AirTran recruiters for the Sept. job fair in D.C.

Thank you very much for previous info.

I really wouldn't put that much effort into who it is addressed to. My guess (and I am not involved at all with the hiring process) is that GC gathers them, Jill reviews them and submits them to a group in the training department, and then they recommend to KC who they want to call for interviews. Simply addressing it to Klaus (D.O.) isn't going to bypass that process.

I think the most important thing is to either have an AirTran pilot recommend you, or to attend one of the Air Inc shows. Either of those two "routes" goes into a smaller pile that they primarily work out of. Otherwise, it supposedly goes into the big, monster pile.
Also, if you have an AirTran guiy submit it, they can call GC and follow up on its progress.

Good luck. I've been here about 30 months, and could get 737 CA probably in the next award, 717 a few months more (the 737 is going junior due to senior guys waiting for the lines to improve).

Thank you Ty for the advice. I was just paranoid that I would some how press send on the email then realize that I did not spell their names correctly and send my papers directly to their trash can.

Congrats on your present position, I mentally punch myself everyday I taxi by your gates wondering why did I not apply sooner, then I realize, my wife was right all along, I am an idiot!

Well, I get people on this board every week calling me an idiot, so it sounds like you'll be a good fit here.

It's about time...

She too often let her own personal feelings enter into important decisions. (My opinion only.)

New Pilot Recruiting member

I'm currently in training at AirTran. Stephanie Grantham is the latest addition to pilot recruiting. I think everyone will find her extremely nice and very willing to provide information. She's currently sharing offices in the training center in ATL and ORL but the lion's share of her time is ATL due to the amount of interviews. Sorry that I don't have any numbers for you. I suspect letters addressed to Greta or Stephanie would both be fine.
Most people have an AirTran contact walk a letter/resume in but two people in my class got hired with no contacts. They seemed to think Women In Aviation and Air Inc conferences did the trick.

Best of Luck,

Beamer
