Now get going, sucker, the honey pot needs dumping. Don't drag your tie through it again . . . . .

Duuude, I shure wish az senyeer as Ty Guy!

Actually, I'm already in the middle of the 737 CA list, and that means that I already have it better right now than you will have it after an entire career at NJA. How do I know that? Because NJA was my back-up plan when I hired on here after 9/11. I was so happy I didn't ever have to go there- you can't even imagine . . .

You enjoy it, though, and enjoy those 7 day trips on perpetual reserve, for the rest of your career. . . . . . Now get going, sucker, the honey pot needs dumping. Don't drag your tie through it again . . . . and stay out of the AirTran threads, it only makes you look like a bigger idiot and wannabe than you already are.

.

I understand now. YOU'RE RETARDED. I am so sorry. I didn't mean to slam someone who is obviously mentally challenged. You must be very proud.

Your uninformed ideas about NJA makes you look like the "idiot". Compare the two on pay alone and then tell me what you think. I was off reserve before I was out of training. The 100% paid for family health, vision, and dental is nice. The 50% company match 401K is great. The six weeks of paid vacation my first year is nice. As for the lav, the company pays ramp people to do that for us. I've never had the pleasure of dragging my tie through the lav. If that is a hint that you like our ties, I would be happy to send you one? I will have to see if they come in pencil neck size.

I started by making a little jab at the guys at AirTran. I know most of you are great folks and hope you don't ever have to fly with this guy. I've had enough fun. You get the last word so make it good.

By the way no matter what you say or how much you wish...I am not a homosexual. Sorry, I know you're disappointed. I think you need to loosen up a bit and pull that stick out of your ass. Have fun being a tool.

Wow! Thanks for clarifying that Captain Obvious.
I'm not the one who obviously had trouble understanding that.

You get a direct flight, the agent booking the fare TELLS you it's a direct flight, then you get mad because you have to stop in MDW?

Waaaaaahhhhhh!

I can read just fine. Maybe it's you who has a problem making themselves understood, because you made YOURSELF sound like you were completely airline industry ignorant.

Incidentally, I turned down Netjets twice. Once recently to come to AirTran.

I have NO urge to be at someone's beck and call. I like my established monthly schedule.

I have NO urge to spend either 7 days away from family OR only have 12 days off. 18-20 days off a month is nice.

I have NO urge to perpetually live like I'm on reserve, living by my Crackberry, getting woken up in the grey hours of the morning because the schedule's changed. I unplug my phones when I get to the hotel and I decide if and when I return any phone calls until my scheduled duty-on time.

I'm glad you like it. I have several friends over there who like it, too. It is one of the last 2 places that has both good pay and respect from management. But again, you work too hard for my taste.

Now, back to my 18 days off this month at well over guarantee. :D

You haven't read our new contract either. Another Genius. Waste of time. But it was good for a laugh.

No comparison between Airtran and Netjets. Netjets wins hands down. Not a slam against Airtran but on pay, benefits, security, there really is nothing to compare. This is another thread though.

Off subject, but where is the Neg report from last week. Anybody have any news?

Progress was made. More sections TA'd. I don't have a lot of specific info other than that. I'm sure an update will be coming out soon.

Actually... yes, I have.

Loss of home basing - that's a deal breaker. I ain't moving, they can kiss my furry butt.

7/7 - yup, that's still in there.

Reserve schedule = 12 days off - yup, that's still in there.

Living by your Crackberry - yup, you still gotta do that.

Some people were cut out for non-sched executive pax charter. Some people weren't. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, both 135 and fractional. I simply prefer the scheduled 121 life and will take the overall lower career pay in favor of having MUCH more time off and MUCH more control over my schedule.

Like I said, I'm well-versed on your contract and turned the job down - just not interested. Your mileage obviously varies.

I turned down Floptions in 1999 and NJA in 2001. It wasn't even close.

Bidding for schedules filled with 2, 3 and 4 day trips, the ability to trade those trips, and knowing your duty day/flight schedule/overnights weeks in advance . . . . . all advantages of airline flying. By comparison, Frac flying is like being on perpetual reserve. You don't know where you are going from one day to the next. . . . every day is being yanked around by a chain.

Looking at the pay charts on airlinepilotcentral.com I make quite a bit more than I would at NJA with the same longevity, except as a DA2000 CA, which would be about the same . . . . and we have a new contract coming.

Also, if airlinepilotcentral.com is right, your company only contributes a max of 7.5% which is pretty cheesy. Our is 10.5% of gross earnings, regardless of whether you contribute or not.

I'm not sure why you felt the need to come on here and tell us how great you have it, and how bad we have it, PilotCad, but I sure wouldn't trade with you.

You enjoy your 7/7 schedule, there PilotCad . . . . . enjoy waiting around the FBO on "hot standby" . . . . Keep telling yourself you're being "treated like a king" because you sure sound like the court jester.

I left NetJets for AirTran 3 years ago, The only thing I miss is Rudy's(Catering Co. that provided Crew Meals around NYC)!!!!!!!!!!
If you like reserve on the road for life, have at it...................

Rudy's . . . . . Let me fill some of you guys in on a little trade secret . . . if you want your lunch to come with the shrimp cocktail, you have to ask for the "Deluxe" Executive Box Lunch. That one comes with the huge fan-tail shrimp . . . . . now, that almost made it worth going to TEB for.

Yeah, Baby!

Captain dad.. Don't take this personally, or do, I really don't care. But your a dumba$$.. When you get hired at AAI you are in your base, there is only one base, so AAI doesn't put you up in a hotel room. I know of at least 1 other major that doesn't pay for a hotel room while in training and they have 3 bases.. And you can keep your 7 on and 7 off..

Who cares...why get into it.....7 days would suck...I can barely stand 3 days on.... 4 is a chore...

a buck 44 ...last year..29k in the 401k plan....average 15 days off a month....straight up... Life is good..now can we please get a new contract !!! And can we stop with the my flyin job is better than yours crap! Its just bullsheiss..

Look all kidding aside. You can think what you want. There are different jobs and all have their pros and cons. I have my reasons and am very happy to be out of the airlines volatility. I sacrificed, as we all have, to fly for a living. The new contract here has made life a lot better than it was. It also means less compromising for me. If you are curious look it up. The late night calls are a thing of the past. The schedule does change on the fly but you are almost always going someplace cool.

I know that for the next few years everyone will be hiring. Hopefully everyone can get to where they want to be. I don't want your job and you don't want mine. I'm happy and I don't understand how you can be, but that's fine.

Seriously, have fun and fly safe.

Let the insults, slams, and put downs continue.

Nah. What you wrote in this post wasn't rude or derogatory, even if it was obviously one-sided, and I respect other people's choices. We can't ALL want to do EXACTLY the same thing, we're all built a little different.

Look. All kidding aside. You can think what you want. There are different jobs and all have their pros and cons. I have my reasons and am very happy to be out of the airlines volatility.
Glad you found somewhere you truly enjoy. I have a lot of friends over there that feel the same way.

Don't think, however, that you are completely immune to the economy or market flux. A major depression would seriously mess with your operation, and more than a few are rethinking the private jet thing right now waiting to see if user fees come down the pike as-advertised. Would get EXTREMELY expensive EXTREMELY quickly.

One of my buddies was stuck in some pretty out-of-the way places a few times last month, but still wasn't complaining. He won't admit it, but I think he's getting fat on crew meals. :D

The new contract is great,,, IF you already worked there and could keep your home basing OR you ALREADY LIVE close to or in one of the domiciles. With the high number of qualified applicants, I doubt it's going away anytime soon either.

Other than that, they did a GREAT job on your contract.

I know that for the next few years everyone will be hiring. Hopefully everyone can get to where they want to be. I don't want your job and you don't want mine. I'm happy and I don't understand how you can be, but that's fine.
I'm glad you're happy.

If you read some of the posts on here about making the same money as Netjets pilot do with more 401k (B-fund) without ANY matching contribution required as well as more overall days off on shorter trips, you might understand a little bit better.

Just takes an open mind.

Seriously, have fun and fly safe.
Always. You, too.
