Then why didn't the MEC let the majority of their pilots say so themselves?

Because you need to have a proposal worth voting for in order to send it out to the membership. The MEC felt it was not adequate, so we all move on...to a mutually agreed upon next step in the process.

Fair and equiptable to both sides, that's where. You clowns spout off B/M and A/M every chance you get, how about "what's in it for the SWA pilots"? Your career expectations just went through the roof, what about the SWA pilot? What does he get out of this? You have nothing to offer this pilot group, so you have to purchase your gains with a seniority loss. That is exactly what will happen in arbitration, hopefully even better SWA seniority gains this time.

Again with this stupid reference, I beginning to understand more and more how AAI is so messed up. As another poster pointed out, that example is relative skewed. If we used relative, the SWA pilots would receive an even bigger percentage loss than that. If you use DOH, you guys will still lose relative seniority percentage, so what's your point? Clueless.:puke:

Let me write at a 3rd grade reading level...

The number was too big.

" If we used relative, the SWA pilots would receive an even bigger percentage loss than that."

Dont get what u mean by "than that" because SWA got a increase.

That was due to the speculators running up the price of oil, not the underlying economic conditions. Once the oil bubble popped AT enjoyed record profits in the midst of the recession.

The arguments are really foolish guys, it's the same thing over and over. This is out of our hands. The only thing that we have control over is how we conduct ourselves, especially to each other. If I ever witnessed an AT pilot being unprofessional to a SW pilot I would give that guy an earful. I just want to come to work provide for my family and go home. All the rest of this BS is nonsense.

Wondering if LH's success rolling the dice over all the years might have come to an end. It appears this MEC vote had very little to do with the members input, just the minorities.

I'm not sure I was in the minority or not, and will never know. As you know, I was not in favor of the agreement for a whole host of QOL issues that I've spoke about previously. Furthermore, I expressed my opinion to my LEC representative who ironically was the only one to vote yes. I respect his decision, even though he was only one to vote that way. As far as LH is concerned, I have not been thrilled with his leadership abilities and would not be displeased if we had a change at that position.

And you honestly think that 6000 ORIGINAL SWA pilots are going to just sit back and let an arbitrator decide our futures for us. Calls are already beeing made to USAPA for some legal advice.

The funniest post on the entire thread.

Just non-rev. Then you don't have to even speak with the porn stars up front.

Gup

Lol-the Peter Norths of Herndon Ave. Memorialized in oil. And it'll only cost ya 2%!

Btw, does that make the corndog drivers the fluffers?

LH nearly stroked out when he heard about the vote. Does it worry you, that you and he completely agree ?

:D
