Ha Ha! I wish IT's problem was so easily definable. They can hardly keep the printers going in the crew room.

I'll bet it looked like a double feature in Concourse C last night . ."The Fall of Saigon" followed by "Exodus".

The Matrix revisited?

Comair had their meltdown..
JetBlue is running on a system that is getting pretty ricketty for sure.

So Airtran blows a fuse....

Growing pains and not getting ahead of the curve on IT issues..

Well, it was a proactive meltdown. The old system was held together by glue so the move needed to be made. The changeover was 15 months in the making. I sure wish it could have gone better.

Between the IT problems and the weather this week, it wasn't pretty. I haven't flown an airplane that far on the backside of the clock since I was eastbound over thirty west.

If the pilot group had some balls, we'd cause our own meltdown over the 4th of July weekend.

That's a mighty BIG "if".

32LT10... Yep, most of them are gone and retired.. But remember, they weren't AirTran scabs, they were Eastern scabs.. AirTran doesn't actually have any AirTran scabs... So, how those guys who crossed the picket line at UAL doing anyways?? Still flying aren't they.. That must make you feel real good... Man, making you look like an idiot is easy... You just don't get it do ya!!!

Kind of like your peers in the Skyway FA crew room. Stick to handing out peanuts in the back and leave the men's work to the men there sugarbritches.

What is skyway????

Why is it another pilot's fault if their are scabs at his/her airline? Just because management hired them does not mean that the Airtran pilots are responsible.

We were here and the scabs showed up. The backbone of UAL is Benchke and ALPA. The backbone and formation of Valujetran is SCABS. Big, nasty, oily scabs. So your foundation is built on a bunch of yellow backed scabs. NICE!

It would've gone better if the IT folks were a little more proactive in training everyone on the new system instead of being reactive trying to fix their f-up. The IT lackeys should be fired for causing such embarrassment and loss of money over the last 3-4 days! This situation was not 'growing pains', it was lack of judgement on that department!

Proof positive that you don't know shat from shinola. Once again, you just like to yap to hear yourself talk. Talk about crap to see what kind of rise you will get. Kind of like a third grader. I guess that pretty much sums up the total of your intelligence quotient.

Wow, you ride Valujetran to SYD, HNL, LHR etc? Good show! I like you comment about "when you ride pax airlines". What you buying tickets on Fedex for your vacation travel. I suppose if you set your bar low enough you would be pleased with Valuscab service.

Weren't they the offical airline of the Olympic flame back when the Olympics were held in ATL?

He's one of those scabs at UAL that has to shine the spotlight on others to divert everyone's attention while he empties out yet another load of shat from his flightbag.

You're so far off you can't even spell the old german's name right...Better go back and read the book again. Then call ole Dandy Duane up and tell him what a great job he's doing.

It seems you set the bar low enough for "YO Nited."
How you like flying with the unicef crowd?

The only flame here is you! You sure show just how much of a prick you are every post you type!

Don't let this dude work you up! United is gonna be back in Chaper 11 soon! So he and the 600 scabs at United need to worry more about themselves then Airtran!

No Sir........When I do go to Australia, which is once a year, I ride Qantas. When I pay to travel inside the U.S I like to travel Airtran, if they service my destination. Believe me I have had better service riding Airtran than United!!
In my opinion Airtran has a market and they serve it very well!!:)

United is just treading water until its next financial collapse. In the meantime, its just another also-ran airline that has absolutely nothing special about it, including where it flies to.

However, if your quote makes you feel like you have more hair on your head; or can go outside without having to wear those shoes with added height inserts; or make your 3 inch ding-a-ling feel twice as long, then knock yourself out junior!

NOTE: My apologies to all those balding, short, pencil-dick pilots who are secure in their god-given bodies and don't feel the need to act like major tools in order to make themselves feel better.

It'll be interesting again too if UAUA starts hiring again to see if their interview process improves from what it used to be-- an outright interrogation. Of all the airlines I interviewed with, they were the worst... I wouldn't doubt that 32LT10 was my interview Captain, he was totally unprofessional, although I expected that sort of interview before I arrived there in January of 2001. The captains I saw there couldn't stop patting themselves on their shoulders for the raise in pay and benefits they negotiated from UAL-- to me, it sounded like the largest bag of gload-crap I've ever heard. The subsequent interviews at AA and Jetblue were soooo much more humane. If you ask me, they got what was coming to them, ignorant, greedy bastarges. For the ones that remain there, would you kindly stop dragging down the industry? It was your pay for nothing fares and givebacks for 3 years in Bankruptcy that weakened this industry further-- not the low cost carriers...

BlueBayou, I had no problems when I interviewed at UAL in May 2000 (no interrogation; very professional) and I didn't think that I was at the top of my game in the interview. The last head of hiring, Roger Vessely, did a great job of cutting out the interview BS. I expect that Vessely will continue to be in charge of hiring when UAL fires back up the interview machine in 2007.
Perhaps your impression is a bit tainted by not being hired there? If you get an opportunity to interview there again, maybe you'll do a bit better.
