How many 717s does AirTran operate?

Are there any plans to reduce the 717 fleet at AirTran?

I believe we have (74) 717's give or take a couple.

They are not planning on reducing the 717 fleet, however they have been talking about deferring our deliveries scheduled for next year. By how much... I have no idea. We are currently "scheduled" to get (10) I believe.

We currently have (5) 737's. We will have (8) by the end of the year. We can't defer deliveries on the 737's because that would trigger a price increase above the rates negotiated supposedly. We are scheduled to get (13) more next year.

As of 10/1/2004
5 737
77 717

Scheduled to take 3 more 717's and 3 more 737's this calender year. Supposed to end the year with 88 aircraft. Air Wisci and Miami Air subservice have been concluded. Ryan air supposed to be over in Nov.

Rumor has us pushing the 717's deliveries out to next year. Nothing officially released though.
