Maybe bc you just sued them?

Are you ever responsible for anything over there PCL?

Oh, Lord. . . .

No one sued anyone. There was a dispute filed. . . . and it was heard, and decided.

Let's all give it a rest, shall we? I know, not much fun in that.

:D

I've never sued anyone. Not sure what you're talking about.

Maybe we should.

I know that wasn't the only guy fired unjustly. So hostage taking and unjust firings were kinda the norm on the AirTran side. It's not at all that way at SW, thank God.

He was suspended not fired.
There were a few guys that were fired and a few did get their jobs back.
The work environment was hostile however and the firing threat was always there. During that time it was unpleasant to work here. It did improve to the extent that it was no longer a primary concern.

The decision is ultimately SWAPA's. If ALPA files with the NMB and SWAPA objects, it's unlikely that the Board will grant ALPA's request.
The pilots of SWAPA just voted to change SWAPA's Constitution in order for SWAPA to be able to represent more than one pilot group with more than one CBA. This change was requested by the current BOD so it looks to me that SWAPA won't object to any request by the NMB to take over the representation of the AirTran side of the partition.

Being prepared for something is not the same thing as willingly accepting it.

No. But awesome movie. :)

Here are the government's rankings of U.S. airlines for arriving on time during September:

1. Hawaiian Airlines, 95.5 percent

2. Delta Air Lines, 90.3 percent

3. Endeavor Air, 88.8 percent

4. US Airways, 88.3 percent

5. Alaska Airlines, 87.6 percent

6. AirTran Airways, 86.8 percent

7. Virgin America, 84.9 percent

8. United Airlines, 84.6 percent

9. Mesa Airlines, 84.6 percent

10. American Airlines, 83.7 percent

11. ExpressJet, 83.4 percent

12. SkyWest Airlines, 83.2 percent

13. JetBlue Airways, 83.1 percent

14. American Eagle, 82.2 percent

15. Frontier Airlines, 76.9 percent

16. Southwest Airlines, 76.3 percent

Average of all U.S. airlines: 83.8 percent

Now that's great performance.

Yep........... based upon feedbacck from the Captains that I have flown with the operations relationship between ground and flight has been poor for the last five years. Much more adverserial and not much respect for captains authority. Vdv has much culpability in this fiasco and the lack of urgency is prevalent throughout. Dispatch you with landing fuel of 5.2 for a flight into a hdta airport only to have you sit for 15 minute waiting to get a gate and marshallers to show up and then eventually plug in ground power.

Southwest's quarterly metric for ontime performance is 83 percent. Obviously 76.3 is not going to cut it. Clearly this is not only the fault of the pilots for not cutting more corners and taxiing faster. But the fault of the flight attendants too. Fortunetly they are documented daily by the ops agents for their contributions to the airlines tardiness. We know it's not mx fault because they have perfected the art assigning most problems to an MEL and tracking number instead of dealing with it at a maintenance base. At least we are last. No where to go but up.
