No confirmation yet from AAI, but it's no longer listed for future bookings. This was a no win situation with UAL adding flts and Jetblue thumping it's chest with their announcement. It looks like AAI is refocusing their assets at MDW and looking to stay away from competing head to head with the 190? Smart move!:D

Lowturd, it doesn't have anything to do with your beloved E190. The underlying motive here is to make money, not make a point.

That is why we are making money while Delta is in bankruptcy . . . they focused so much on "protecting marketshare" that they forgot to focus on making money.

Besides, your E190 blows goats. . . . and so do you!

Great post Ty Boy. Your true colors are shinning again. What a pisshead you are.

Don't worry, Chuckie . . . you can still swing my gear when you hit the street. And I'll still show your wife a good time while you're gone, as always.

Ty, I see you're still pressing your underware. Next time, see if you can remove the jr johnson so that you'll still be able to hang onto something when FO takes over.

Oh, and yes you can keep reversing them. Afterall, the savings is worth it. Are you still telling your kids the story how you worked your way up from the ramper to the hamper? I'll bet they're impressed. :D :D

And yes, the 190 will turn you're operation into a Chinese firedrill.

Question:

For an airline the size of AAI, isn't BOS and IAD two important destinations an airline that size would want to service? It seems like there would be a lot of business traffic going to and from those two destinations.

Not flaming, but a sincere question, especially since it also seems that there would be a lot of traffic between those two cities and Chicago.

Sure, but AAI will lose the fight everytime whenever the 190 with the Jetblue IFE is brought in. Joe Bob Leofornio knows it, and so does Ty.;)

Lowecur,
It figures that you'd see a meaningless statement. After all, you can't see the wind even though it passes right by you.
Back to you, Marv.

Hopped a ride on a 190 last week

And I will add that it is probably the best laid out most comfortable airplane I have been on in years.. Awesome comfortable seats, leg room, I can roll my bag right down the aisle without the shoulder strap wrapping around the armrests, The freaking bathroom is literally twice as large as any plane I have been on. The 2 plus 2 seating does not give you the cramped feeling..

I give it 5 stars overall.. One of the smartest moves that I have seen an airplane company make in years..

Plus one observation: The newer crj's are a vast improvement over on the originals but the customer perception is the same.. They can stretch that things out to 150 seats but it will always just look like an extended rj but uglier.. The customer like engines on wings and the customer perception when clicking the payment button online is what makes the difference.

I am not knocking the 717..

How it does on the line will remain to be seen . . . . . . . Too bad it doesn't pay like a 717.

Ty,

Not really interested in this sandbox fight, and I won't comment on LC's editorial, but wondered if you had any additional information regarding this topic. Has Airtran "officially" decided not enter the IAD-BOS marketplace this February? I went to your press relations sight and only saw the November announcement regarding the initiation of service, but nothing regarding a retraction. Simply curious . . .

Thanks for your insight.

Welcome aboard, Lowturd Junior. Too bad it doesn't pay like a 717.

I was not quoting anyone and was offering my opinion from the perspective of a passenger and not that of a pilot.. I know for the $150 I paid for the seat that my a$$ was more than comfortable..

I couldnt give two $hits about the the homo argument regading lowcur or this ty webb but in my opinion the 190 is a winner

Why are you still responding to this guy? He knows very little about aviation and is only trying to get a rise out of whatever pilot group he is insulting with his current post...just let him rant. He is nobody!

A buddy of mine in class at Airtran earlier this year asked Leonard during the meet and greet what his plans were to combat the Jetblue 190's with their longer range and lower pay........... he said Leonard just looked and him and said " yeah... those 190's really scare the hell out of us" he did not leave that meet and greet with a warm and fuzzy, but he's still flying there.

You know the industry is in the toilet when Ty's above quote is spot on. Hey Ty, hows the NMB gonna affect the warm relationship between the NPA and management? Clause really wants that productivity....... becareful.... what goes around and all that good stuff.......

What do you expect Leonard to say to a bunch of newhires during contract negotiations? Hope your friend sees that kind of statement for what it is. . . .

As for the NMB, we are nowhere near that stage. . . . . . but we're definitely holding their feet to the fire.

Don't get too duimb, fat and happy . . . . what makes you think they're won't be an LCFC (Low Cost Freight Carrier) in the future?

yeah...i heard that jetblue had 10K apps on file, and now only 50! nobody wants to fly at jetblue anymore because of the 190 pay. they may be forced to return the jets to brazil or park them....

LOL!
