Like most junior "anal-cysts" (as our board's very on Lowecur likes to call himself) this person has no grasp of the reality "on the ground", specifically, the animosity MEH management has towards FL. Those guys would rather burn the place to the ground than paint a big a on their tail, I guarantee it.

When we first started service into MKE, we had no long-range airplanes, and they were flying half-empty MD80's to the west coast. When we approached them about a code-share (ie, us putting pax on their long-haul stuff) they gave us the cold shoulder- and this is from someone who was part of the conversation.

MEH management thinks that they are superior to AirTran, even though their business model stinks and they have had to sell everything that isn't nailed down to raise cash.

Had dinner last year with the most junior MD80 skipper . . . . he had been on the property over ten years, and was just able to hold Capt. again last year. They stiill have about 1/3 of their seniority list on furlough, if I am not mistaken.

No offense to the hard-working MEH guys, and their people out on furlough, but no thanks.
