Have you seen that billboard in downtown Atlanta? Something about flying AirTran and getting the Michael Vick treatment?

I was wondering if that meant you got a penicillin shot?

You might need one after flying with them.

Actually getting Herpes from Michael Vick is not the problem. It's getting from point A to point B with Ty (I'm an Idiot) Webb as the pilot that is the problem.

Well, this is a really mature thread.

Oh, and Chuckie, isn't it your bedtime? You don't want to be sleepy for homeroom in the morning.

Strange, I didn't realize that you could consider coast-to-coast a "region." Also, since their senior Captains make more flying a 717 than most Captains flying a 757 at the legacies now, I think it's hard to call them anything but a major.

Look at how many regionals hit both coasts.

Skywest, Comair, ASA, Expressjet, Mesa, USAirways.

So what are you a Captain of?

A major is defined by the Feds as over $1 Billion in sales per year. AirTran acheived that milestone many months ago so they are now a Major airline. Throw your troll line back over the side of your boat and keep fishing Capt...

Your airline is over $300 million in debt. I don't think you will be a major long with those kind of numbers.

Stay with the thread

We are getting off topic here guys...the thread is AirTran & herpes...

MEH:

Revenue $415 Million. Liabilities $280 million. Net opering LOSS ($43.0 million).

AAI

Revenue $1.05 Billion. Liabilities $571 million. Net operating PROFIT $12.0 million.

The numbers don't lie. MEH is in a far more precarious position, financially, then AAI.

some would say that 70 and 90 seat regional planes ARE herpes.

Yup, thanks to Airtran and others, the legacies have had to BRING DOWN their pay to the scum level. We should all be SO happy that Airtran is considered HIGH paying......Good God, what has happened to our industry.

Wake up dude! Do you realize that American Eagle and ExpressJet did over $1 Billion in sales last year? Does that make them a "Major"? They are still considered a "Regional". I think AirTran is a "Regional" with "Major" sales and airplanes.

Who has more departures per day? Eagle or Airtran?

Us Airways????

Hard to call an airline a regional that operates 757's, 767's, and A330's. Not to mention the fact that they have 20 A-350's on order.

All airlines carry long term debt. What's important is your equipment, it's age, how well financed it is, your money in the bank, your costs, and your revenue/yield. AirTran is sitting pretty in most categories. Chuck, you're just sitting. Want to tell us how your airline is doing? Before you get started, you should know that Microsoft Flight Simulator is not an airline. Shut off your little 'puter and go do your chores before mommy slaps you silly skippy.

As defined by the Feds...yes...American Eagle and Express Jet are a major. Realistically, no because they are not their own entity so to speak. American Eagle and Express Jet do not stand on their own like AirTran does. AAE and ExpressJet are tied to the revenue streams (and the reservations systems) of their big brothers.

Seems that you have a real hang up with equipment size. Better get some therapy for that.

As for AirTran, they have a combined total of over 100 717's and 737's. So where do you draw the distinction? 150? 200? It's not about number of aircraft or number of departures, however it is all about revenue...simple as that.

I don't think the Fed's care if they are tied to "Another revenue stream." If it makes you feel better to try and distinguish your little airline then so be it.

It's a little off subject Mr Chairman but "contract whores" don't count :-)

Your posts seem conspicuously similiar to Chucky boy Yogurt. Perhaps you two are one in the same. Or perhaps you both are internally angry that AirTran never offered you an interview or if they did, you washed out. Very revealing your vitrolic statements are.

Do you ever have anything nice to say about anyone?? What is your beef with Airtran?? Did you not get hired there?

Do you actually believe that sh!t you write, or just say it for fun?

It's amazing to me that these "legacy" people think it is the little guy that has taken them to the brink of belly up. You terds need to realize that it is your management, your unions, or lack of, that got you in this position. It did not have anything to do with Airtran, Midwest, ATA, Mesa, Frontier, Jet Blue, you name it. You did it to yourselves.

Dude, do you work in the same industry as I do? You know, the one that is coddled by our bankruptcy courts and creditors?

Pay attention man!
