Do you actually believe that sh!t you write, or just say it for fun?

It's a pure FACT that the legacy carriers are having a very difficult time increasing revenue due to LCC's increase in market share with low ticket prices. Pure and simple. WOW, saying that was fun.......idiot!

And now that their pilot pay is LESS than the LCC's they still can't compete. Just goes to prove, it's the business model, stupid.

Not so much that as overcapacity and their inabilaty to compete. You can't pay a captain 200 grand and an f.O 140 grand on a half empty airplane where you are charging $50 one way. Price of fuel is now the major expense for all airlines, not labor. You have to have fuel to fly and you have to be able to make a profit on the flight. If your costs are to high, no amount of squealing and moaning is gonna make any difference. Cuts have to be made.

Look man, you are just aren't correct. The airline industry is any other industry in a capitalist society. Are you ticked off that McDonald's can make burgers cheaper than your typical Mom and Pop joint on the corner? Are you mad that Wal-Mart is running the local hardware shops out of business? When you want a new car, do you buy from the most expensive palce or look for a bargain? My point is that in a free market, prices and then wages will fall to a sustainable point. The legacy carries were/are running a business style dreamt up during the regulated era and were/are unable to deal with the modern market. Things change...airlines aren't different.
One last thing: I promise you that you wouldn't call me an idiot to my face, so let's just pretend we're actually conversing in real life and be polite.

Thanks for your nice reply, but I just looked at the LCC payscales compared to a hand full of legacy carrier payscales and the legacies are still making more, especially in the duration of a career.

Sorry for the name calling, I try to stay away from that sort of thing on these boards.

However, your above statement did make me laugh a bit.
