thunderworm said:how is golgan doing? i was in huston a while ago and met a lot of the new hires. they didn't seem to much of what was going on even when they stardted getting paid. typical new hires though. how many planes up and running seemed they had way more pilots than planes and not enough to do ioe with everyone getting trianed. with a lot of people getting hired senority is very important. ie at the beging of hiring not at the end.

I came from another major and I think the working conditions at AirTran are pretty good. In comparison, we get shat upon much less than we did at AA.Yeah, Air Tran LOVES those guys coming from 1900s and the like. Those that never worked anywhere decent. Those that are used to being shat upon. Those that think getting hired there is dying and going to heaven. THAT'S why they have that 500 hr 121 PIC requirement. So they can get the B-1900 Captains that will take whatever is dished out to them and eat it with a smile on their face.
And they are eating that s**t sandwich on a daily basis, I'm sure.

I know EXACTLY what I am talking about. And I had the good sense and good fortune to get out of there.
Facts are facts. Air Tran is made for people like you.
Enjoy your high and mighty feeling while you ride around with "former AA, TWA, USAirways and UAL pilots" who are there simply because they needed a job and took what they could get. Not because they wanted to but because they HAD to.
Why would I post about what a terrible place SWA is when I feel blessed to be flying for such a fine company instead of one that treats it's pilots like crap, but they are so used to it they don't know any better?
