Allegiant is point to point. Airtran treats MKE, BWI, ATL, and to a smaller degree MCO as hubs.
True, except it's Airtrain and there are 3 year CAs at Allegient, who is growing.

Airtran mainline or a code-share on that RJ deal they just signed?
Do you really think CRJ-200s would be effective against Allegiant hauling leisure travelers to MCO for $79?

Flight numbers that came out with the press release indicated the new flights would be flown with Airtran Jets.

Both AirTran and Allegient are growing. It takes a little research to understand how AirTran is increasing capacity by increased aircraft utilization.
By the way, your misspelling of AirTran is really funny, cracks me up every time you use it. Who do you work for again?

True and according to Allegiant's CFO on their Q4 conference call, Allegient has 136 routes total and only 8 routes that have direct competition. He also said that Allegiant has enjoyed little competition since they began in 2002.

Allegiant is getting big enough now that they are attracting the attention of larger airlines. It will be interesting to see how the increased competition works out for them. Airtran has already proved they can compete with the biggest and strongest airlines (Delta in ATL, SWA in BWI, MCO, and MKE).
