Another pissing contest when someone was just looking for info.

First let me say a quick hello to S2R, this place is not the same with out you and keep in touch.

Second let me address moto74 and thebest. I have read this site often and have kept my opinions off the screen, however it is time that I say something. I knew DN as well and considered him one fine human being and one heck of a pilot. I cannot and will not ever play Monday morning QB to his tragic last flight. After all there but by the grace of god goes us all. I go out there everynight just like you two. Fly the same equipment and with the same company just like you two. However there seems to be one big difference between you two and myself. I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY OWN ACTIONS!!! I don't sit here on a public site and whine and moan at how bad this or how bad that or whether you should have life insurance or not. Heck if you drive a car you should have life insurance. Anything can happen at anytime. In the two plus years that I have flown for this company I have never been forced or for that matter even slightly encouraged to fly anything that was not legal or break any company or federal rule or regulation to get the job done. If you don't like it here or feel that this company is unsafe take responsibility and LEAVE!! I am sure with the immensley positive attitudes that you two fine pilots display on this web site day in and day out you can find a flying job anywhere. Well there you have it, my two cents or maybe 25 but I am done now. I welcome those new hires on and wish them luck and patienly await another inane and unprofessional reply from thebest!

I only speak of the truth, unlike all you Skippy pilots out there and you know who you are.How many people went down to Dougs services in RI from AirNow.Not one of you guys did and you say he was a good friend of yours.Your bullsh-t and all your post on here are too.Not one rep from Airnow went down there not even Skippy, to me thats not right and what does it say for Airnow. So dont sit here and tell everyone how great it is because your a F-ck up and belong flying crap like that. And why was Doug going to Bennington insted of his alternet cause they new he had lost an engine and they were going to hide the fact as they always do.

Oh by the way on tuesday I watched a Rattler taxi in on one engine. Must have been practicing those single engine landings.

That's some fine mx at airnow.

Just remember to have your life insurance paid up.

Saw a post on another site saying AirNow is looking for Shorts pilots...Any current Rattlers out there to confirm this?
I was just at DDH and was also told that shorts are on the way! Caravans are going bye bye (except for the ones they own). But as with all things in aviation, you never know till it shows up on the ramp.

As I’ve said before, do your job and you’ll be fine.

Well one thing in that statement is correct. Not one rep but at least 4 Rich, Skip, Dave and Michelle. I know for a fact those four went to the funeral.

I no longer work at AirNow but while I was there I gained some good experience and some great friends.

Wow any details?? Replacing Caravans with Shorts? Which Shorts?
Yup, It’s true. I think it’s the 360 versions of the shorts. I was told that most of the Caravan runs would become Bandit runs and most of the bandit runs would turn into Shorts runs. Dave told me early on (when I was there) that the operational cost of a bandit on short hauls come out to about the same as the Caravan. And as those who worked there know, when a Van was pulled from a run, more times than not a Bandit was on the run.

When I was up there one of the vans was in the shop for some major rework. Apparently, one of the pilots was taxi’n on an access road and hit a fence post. Thought it was a snow bank and added power. The result was a the post ended up half way through the wing (hit about 5 feet from the end) and the plane swung around and trashed the prop/engine. What a mess.

looks like the 18th is going to be a big payout day for airnow. :)

Two bits of advice

When dealing with Airnow , look out and be very, very careful. My mother always said if you cant say something nice just say nothing. An ex rattler
