What about 58WA...Worst Airplane.....yikes!

My fave was always 33DK...green-tail.....fast. 17708 was a good one too....blue tail.

The one with the new avionics was cool...but it had alcohol props/windshield that almost killed me one morning out of UCA.

Good times.

Not Utica....the WX is ALWAYS nice up there.......wait a sec.....its the only place I had to fly that limited the DH due to snow on the ground....so yeah it sucks

AAAHHHHHHHHHH.....4AW.....the only emergency landing i ever had to do (yet...knock on wood). Nothing like smoke in the cockpit with the weather at mins....kinda puts all the first thoughts of shut everything off out the window. Nothing like flying down the ILS with smoke entering the pit and the extinguisher on the seat next to you with the pin pulled and ready. Lets also add that it was on the arrival during the day over all of the inbound traffic for IAH in Houston...couldn't exactly just descend immediately either. What a day. The memories:)

Although, this was the incident that made 4AW the next airplane to go to CMH to get a complete teardown and the new avionics. So at least something good came out of it for you guys who have flown it since.

These posts about these airnet barons are hilarious! I hate being famous, but if anyone heard about a guy who lost oil pressure in-flight on 2 separate practically brand new caravans-that was me!!! Talk about freak luck.
Did you get the memo on the new cover sheets for the UIR reports?!

I was stuck in 4098S for over a month before I left ...just about the least equipped baron of the bunch. Another P.O.S that was always based out east was the redtail 9044V I was always trying to figure out how all the crap planes were always based in the NE. Just bad luck or did management really not like us.

Crap planes? The Barons??? You must've never flown the 310s... now those were crap! Bare minimum avionics, no a/p, flight director, radar, DME, heading bug on the DG... nothing but hot plate/hot prop/boots.

After flying those basic old 310s around for awhile, I flew some of the newer Barons here and there... felt like being in a shiny new airliner with all the toys that actually worked.

I have over 900 hrs in their 310s....I know what you speak of. I got spoiled flying the Barons with all the goodies and from a comfort level, felt like a 5 star hotel in the Chieftains. But at least the lack of equipment kept you awake in the 310s.....and the radar worked good........when it worked. 310CS (chicken $hit) was the stripped and fastest of them all..........now that I think about it, was there ANY 310s that flew without a constant bank to one side?

Ahhh yes..... 95BB.....here's some pics starcheck1 for you to reminisce over....I hear that shortly after I flew it out of TEB, it geared up in BDL...

Did 95BubbleButt really gear up? I was looking in my logbook....that's what I flew my last night at Airnet. Too bad...good airplane.

That's what I was told.....mechanical failure of some sort. It's back in service though, from what I understand. Someone still there may have more info....

I have all kinds of info on that ordeal........it was his first day on the job. Gotta call that luck...first landing made with Airnet while not being on IOE was gear up. The electric gear motor failed or something and the emg. crank would not engage. But its back ...it was out for a month or two.....I was happy to see it back online sporting some nice primer green gear doors.

7500

sorry guys, but it's a definate no-go on the SIC deal for Airnet correct? and if that's the case i'm assuming 1200, and 200 for mins?

thanks
