Dear Airnet friends,

A few weeks ago I was told by Airnet dispatch that you no longer accept FAR 121 jumpseaters due to the orange alert. Now that the terror threat is down one notch to elevated, does that mean you can now take FAR 121 jumpseaters again? It would be wonderful if you did!

Anyway, I believe you guys are more than welcome to jump on ATA anytime...regardless of jumpseat availability on your aircraft.

Thanks for the info,

Noam

We can currently take SWA and Air Tran (i think it is airtran) pilots only as of yesterday. As of today i don't know, i would assume that we should open back up again. The big hold up is the new requirement that we MUST be able to verify employment with your employer, and we must also run a TSA check on the rider... this requires a 24 hour advance notice of riding, no exceptions. As of yesterday the above two were the only ones who complied with the requirements. We are working on getting all the other airlines to do the same so that we may take their riders as well.

I know it sucks for those who are not SWA and AirTran, and we have been told that we are working with everyone to get them up to the new TSA standards for riding. I am happy that the other airlines we reciprocate with still allow us to ride, and i hope they understand that it has nothing to do with us, but only the TSA. We must abide by their rules as we all know, or lose our rights all together. So please "pardon our dust" as we work out our TSA problem.

Hey, thanks for the reply. As I said before, I totally understand about the TSA problems and I'm glad you guys are working on getting the jumpseat back for non SWA and Citrus guys.

You guys are wonderful...as I said before, more than welcome on ATA anytime.

Too bad there are so many rules and regulations to jumpseat on a Baron...if I wanted to be melicious I could just rent one.

Thanks,

Noam

That listing 24 hours in advance is bad because I usually use you guys when I miss or can't get on the last flight out in the evening... know what I mean?

PCL...

I completely understand, most of the SWA guys we haul around do the same thing. My suggestion, although probably a bad one, would be to list anyway, and you could always cancel at the last minute if you do not need it. The bad thing about that, is that you will take that seat away from someone who really needs it if they call ahead 24 hours or more and they are told there is no room, and then you cancel leaving an open seat. However, that is one way to do it.

Just to let everyone know, we are working to resolve this ASAP. Like someone else said, we can now take SWA and Air Tran guys again. It wouldn't surprise me if we get everyone back on by the end of the month. Hang in there!

IS there any website or route maps that show where you guys and other 135 operators go? I need rides to BNA-STL BNA-SDF. ANy ideas?

Go to airnet.com

On the left, click on operations

then, click on schedule on the left.

You can find Airnet's schedule there.

I Believe we serve those markets, but STL you will have to get to CPS (Cahokia) somehow.

Thanks so much...Looks like you guys have some flights that would work out great...Hopefully you get the jumpseating re instated!
