I have jumped on SWA many times with multiple jumpseaters....I've never seen anyone at SWA leave any pilot behind. Once, myself (with AQ) and six others jumped on. We all got on with absolutely no issues.
By the way, AQ can take up to 5 jumpseaters. If it were up to me, it would be unlimited....but our f/a's would probably right me up for doing so:(

American Jumpseat

I jumpseated a week ago from DFW on AA.
I was told it was unlimited j/s (at least for Delta/DCI)
The priority code is D6U.
Enjoy

AirTran J/S

AirTran policy is to take only 1 offline jumpseater.

If someone beats you to the gate, and takes the jumpseat, you can purchase a space available pass for $25 from the gate agent. The company doesn't charge for the jumpseat, that's free, they will however offer you a $25 pass if the jumpseat is taken.

As Skank said, the agents often don't charge. Best to find the crew if you can, they can often do a little arm twisting.

Allegiant Air (AAY, G4) takes unlimited JSers

allegiantair.com will list all the cities we fly scheduled 121. It is mostly in and out of LAS, but we accept unlimited jumpseaters, both pilots and flight attendants.

For the record, I was left behind on a SWA flight out os STL last spring when they already had two riding the JS with open seats in the back. I believe it is a policy change to encourage other to follow suit. The bummer is now that others are recipricating and have made the list, they are only looking at the bigger players.

It would be nice if a carrier has the policy of unlimited jumpseats, that they be included on the list regardless of size. This has never been a factor or matter of policy before in the industry.
