And now the important question, those that DON'T take multiple JS...

Continental
Delta
Who else?

I guess the question is more along the lines of who takes unlimited jumpseaters and who does not. UAL takes multiple jumpseaters, provided there are two j/s on the flightdeck, but if not, restricted to one.The good one is with IROs, since they will take one jumpseat, even if there is plenty of room in the back.

Kalitta will take jupseaters? I thought they were cargo only meaning you'd have to ride on the flightdeck

Kalitta has reciprocal agreements with some, but not all, carriers.

Northwest takes multipule. They're awesome to fly with.

World Airways takes Jumpseaters too.

Doesn't NW only take as many jumpseaters as there are cockpit J/S

ie

A320- 2 J/S
DC9- 1 J/S

Also, AA will only take 1 (hopefully that will change soon though)

AA and AE take as many jumpseaters as physical jumpseats installed on the airplane. So, for Eagle, that is one jumpseater. AA, depends on the plane.

When TR4A made his list of airlines that SWA will allow to have mutiple jumpseaters he left out Frontier. SWA also just added Jet Blue to the list. So the current list for SWA is the following. Alaska, America West, ATA, Frontier, Horizon, Jet Blue, Mesa, Skywest, & US Airways (both mainline & express).

American is going to be added to the list of unlimited very soon. I looks like we will be adding ALL ATA carriers in the near future.

What's with this?

"§ Air Tran Charges $27.50 for each Jumpseater after the 1st."

G4G5, Airtran has had this policy for a while. I've been on a flight with more than one jumpseater, and was never asked to pay. I don't know how regularly this policy is enforced.

American hopefully will be added to the list soon but I'm not holding my breath. I would NOT expect some of the other legacy's to ever change their policies to allow unlimited jumpseaters ie. DAL.

Well, certainly hope the AA pilots supposed move towards unlimited may spur a few other carriers to match.

IMHO, it just does not make sense, leaving someone behind if there is an open seat!

Talked with our J/S coordinator last week. Expect it any day.
