:uzi:GoJets. Because Career Kamikazes are hard to come by

p.s. don't work for gojets

Really? That's funny cuz I know a guy from there that just started at FedEx, another that just started at Southwest and one that just interviewed at UPS. Career suicide eh?

I don't believe you for one.

Number two, it's not a guarenteed career killer but why take the chance of getting black balled somewhere because you pulled a move like going to Goat Jet.

Piedmont will hire if you have a pulse...interview lasts 10 mins if that. No sim eval. Might still be doing a written eval with ATP type questions. Not hard if you look it over before you go. I recently heard of one person that had 14 hrs multi time when he/she started class.

Yeah, I am lying because I like alter ego airlines.

GMAFB! I know all three guys from a previous airline. I don't care if you believe me or not.....you can try to fool yourself all you want if that's what makes you feel better.

Unfortunate results of affirmative action programs.

WTF does that have to do with it? The point is it's not the dramatic "career suicide" you drama queens all speak of. I was talking to a capt. that I was flying with the other day and he never even heard of GoJets. The airlines don't care where you work or worked, as long as you meet the quals they are looking for, they will call you. Let's not be dramatic here.

ASA is trying to find pilots. give em a look.

I agree, ASA might be the place to be here in the next year or so. I really hate to be a company cheerleader, mostly because anybody who knows me would know that I'm far from it. But according to the training plan (for now), they want to hire 20-40/mo with 20 upgrades per month. Do the math and that means if you get hired early in the year you should enjoy the benefits of seniority pretty quickly. You may not upgrade as fast as you would at other places, but on the other hand you might not spend a year or two on reserve like you would at some other airlines.

I am not trying to be dramatic here either. I've heard talk of several Go Jet pilots moving on to bigger and better things. Possible? Sure, but there are comanies that will give it's pilots a chance to black ball someone. Whenever you tag yourself with an alter ego, you run the risk.

Trans States... No sim, interview lasted 4.5 minutes, however, when the call came it was for a class in a CRJ 700 funny how Trans States did not have them.

It got you a job, and here you are posting, thus, your post is a regrettable product of affirmative action. And yet, no one cries for your hungry husband.
As for your captain not knowing of ho-jets, that is no real surprise. Any UPS captain left the regional world behind long ago. (actually you should probably substitute unit for regional)Unless his significant other is employed by a regional, that is. Go-jets guys have nothing to fear from senior folks that most likely never flew an RJ. The ho-jets folks will get theirs as other regional pilots advance though the ranks and settle in to hiring committees.

Are you Serious capt mega? Called UPS H.R. and they told me to go pound sand at an int'l operator to get the 'experience they desire' Did the GoJet guy come from the military?

Serious as a heart attack. I might pi$$ people off with the things I say but I don't come on FI and lie about stuff.

I have been trying to find out the mystery of UPS HR for a while....to no avial. My buddy had 2 line pilot recommendations, civilian, the biggest thing he ever flew is an RJ, checkairman experience and went to an AirInc job fair a few months back.

Yep, I got my job with 300 TT  Let's not go there you imbusil.

For god's sake dont go to one with the best opportunity, or best pay, or best quality of life, just go to the one that is easiest!! Atta boy Einstein!! Good luck with that work ethic!

Easy airline job to get? Try King Airelines. 500TT Captains.

2 questions: Do you smoke, and are you under 200 lbs? Also, go with $500 to cover gas for training (let the anti-PFT comments fly), you'll need a whole lot more than that to get relocated to Las Vegas and survive a month without pay during training.

I won't say much about working conditions/pay, but it is an easy job to get if you have the right attitude (and if you apply at the right time, they only hire a couple times a year).

What, is the easiest airline to get on with? Don't over think this please, just wondering your opinions

Republic needs 1500/300, pretty laid back interview, most of the gouge is on aviationinterviews.com....and they'll likely tell you whether or not you're hired on the spot.

Yeah mega it seems like it is a mystery. Well cheers to your bud for making it out of regional hell. I got the same boxes (no pun intended) checked on my resume as far as the PIC time and the check airman thing. No skeletons to speak of...I think. Just wondering if I should follow some of my buds to an int'l operator or just hang out sweating bullets. (ok that pun was intended)

Peace,
Rook
