Mark your calendar for QTRly earnings reports

AMR - July 16
CAL - July 17
SWA (LUV) - July 17
JBLU - July 22
United - July 22
NWA - July 23
US Airways - July 24

So basically July 16 to July 24th is a HUGE AIRLINE WEEK.

Not exactly a lot of suspense here.

The Legacies will lose their asses (except for some accounting trickery to whitewash the number in the headlines depending on what they want to show. UAL and Delta will try to show less of a loss for different reasons).

The LCC's will lose money.

SWA will scrape out a small (by SWA standards) profit. TC

I guess in the current economic environment, it would be more appropriate to call them; "lack of earnings reports" or maybe QTRly Loss Reports, or the QTRly 'survival report'

All Bad news to come, only upside 'spin' could possibly be, "gee, it wasn't quite as bad as we thought, however, the 'outlook' looks bleak."

Something to really look forward to later this month, but not really.

PD

Hey, I'll have you know that CAL will only loose half their ass in the 3rd and 4th quarter.

I predict that Delta will lose a whole sh!t ton of cash and Genital Lee will say it was a "one time-goodwill" write off or some other BS like that. The rest of the Song apologists will fall in line and stick their heads in the sand. In the meantime, Anderson will be typing up furlough letters for junior Delta and NW guys.

Doh!!

LOL.
From the ass, I know you have to trace your way up thru the douadenum and stuff but eventually you'll find the stomach. Fupa, vagomic, gunt, what have you. There-in lies the problem - the stomach. Stomach staples and bands are now covered by most insurances. So while yall are eating dinner tonite, bring that up to her. Please let us know how it goes.

DAL is supposedly to pull an operational profit this quarter...supposedly.

AMR stated today they expect about 1 billion loss for the 2nd qtr.

Actually I am guessing more in the line of about 1.4 Billion. 1.1 Billion write down on the S80 and RJs (does not affect our cash position). and roughly 300 million loss (does change the cash position.).

However headlines will say 1.4-1.5 Billion loss, and many suckers like yourself will take that as a cash loss.

AAflyer

Remember when DAL reported a 4-6 Billion quarter loss a year back?

A year back....? My how time flies. April 2008 seems like just yesterday.

Analysts are estimating a .14 cents per share profit for the second quarter at Allegiant.

How can you say "airlines and earnings" in the same sentence?

I remember this year when DAL reported a 6.4 billion(1st quarter) loss...sucker!
