You got to love some of the people who are flying these days (and all the airlines get them, not just the LCCs).
Times have changed..due to the increased presence of LCCs, frequent flyer programs, upgrades, etc., the folks that would have been on a bus in the '80s are now populating the terminals.

As far as non-revving, I grew up in an airline family (dad, mom, stepmom, and sister all Delta) and can remember going on plenty of family vacations on a pass, rarely getting bumped. Nowadays, it's just not worth it, due to the reasons listed in the paragraph above. It's hardly a job benefit anymore. If you want to get somewhere, you're better off sucking it up and buying a ticket.

Must fly

Here's a question that this episode had me asking.

Are you telling me that SWA gives prospective employees SPACE AVAILABLE only tickets to go to the interview?

When you are fortunate enough to get an interview with SWA, you'll receive, in your interview packet, a "must fly" letter. Make your reservation, give the letter to the ticket agent, fly. Yes, the interview begins there. If your true self is an a$$hole, then, it will come out. Hey, that's just my take, I might be wrong, but, hopefully I'll start SWA training on 4 Oct. Fly safely, Stash
