Glad you like my skill-test

Hi guys,

I'm the webmaster of that website and I was checking my visitor-stats and saw that a bunch of visitors came from this forum. So I thought, let's check it out.

Interested in some info about the test?
- The test is generated randomly, which means you get a different test every time you take it.
- The test almost uses every picture on the entire website, about 5900 pics of 285 airplanes. Only the pictures that are very poor quality or that show multiple aircraft are left out.
- Cockpit pictures; you'll only get those in the very-hard setting.

When I started with my website almost every visitor got 24/24, because there were too little airplanes on the site. But with 285 different airplanes it's getting harder quickly. :D

If anyone has any suggestions for the skill-test, please tell me.

Hey Eagleflip,
Did your test have a Hind and a Blackhawk? If so, that accounts for 2 of your misses....

Rush--nice job, bud. . Lessee, 15 Americans and 11 foreign nationals die in a tragic act and you figure that it is joking material? Their loss still stings 9 years later.

The fighter world is full of "bro's" and a few "non-bros". You aren't getting my vote...

If the wing is on top, it's a Cessna. If it's on the bottom, it's a Piper.

Ok....Ok.....so I'm a dumb a$$. 19 of 24 on VH.

Axl on some of the very hard elminate some of the givens, some aircraft it would take a total idiot to get them wrong.

Oh BTW 24/24 VH.

Don't always own up to it, but I gots to raise the hand. Somewhat good times, if not for the super dorky, self centered, me first, big egos around it would have been a stupendously fun time. I only contributed to the Dorky part :)

Sorry I can't stand the flight team. I haven't pulled out the whiz wheel in ages, do I really need to do extensive flight planning for a pancake trip to a grass strip 20 miles away?

2X 23/24VH...."**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a pilot".

Hard....24/24
Very Hard...24/24
Very Hard...24/24

Pretty easy test. Which proves conclusively one thing......

I am in desperate need of a life.

Actually, as an aviation artist and lifelong airplane nut, I have looked at hundreds of thousands of pictures of aircraft. My own library consists of a couple of thousand books and magazines, and a friend has over four thousand that I use for research.

Great site! I will bookmark it for future reference.

Any former (current??) NIFA competitors here?

Just wondering.

I'll admit it. Been one for 4 years in two different schools. I admit it can look extremely dorky from the outside (I myself even made fun of the E6B and rec guys) but if you go about it right, it's an EXCELLENT way to further your career by meeting different people and networking. I've also gotten free flight time practicing for events. The major airlines are always representing at the national competitions and set up booths so we can talk to them. They know what NIFA is and you can bet it's a mainstay on my resume.

PS I'll be the first to admit the skills I learned on a flight team are useless in the real world... except for maybe the SCAN event (FAR/AIM and weather stuff)

23 of 24, very hard... When did they start building the Super Flanker?
