Airbus said that since they didn't sell many A-340's in 2005 (15) compared to Boeing's 777 sales (154), that they (airbus) were going to look into upgrading their A-340 to make it more attractive to the airlines. While Airbus touts their 4 engine A-340 as 'safer' over long routes vs 2 engines such as the 777, the airlines aren't buying it (pun intended).

You are right. I just felt like bashing the french.
I'm sure it will work though. But not well. People don't want to fly a piece of crud overwater if they don't have to. HAHAHAHAHAH
