Actually my nephew is writing a paper about airplanes which you no longer see. I searched for an article on BAE-146's and came up with this thread. So, where have they all gone? The desert? Africa?

Supposidly some went to europe, some were converted to firebombers, some to the chopyard. All were retired in April 2006. UAL supposedly wanted AWAC to operate 5 indefinately beyond that for Aspen services, however a subfleet of 5 aircraft was deemed completely un economical, and all the frames were already on extened life programs as it was.

We are paid with the greater of actual / scheduled/ 2:1 duty rig /3 hour min day. There are rumblings that we might have to hire in the spring.
