Other than cherry-pick a couple of good CBA's from weak-willed management in the go-go 90's, ALPA has bailed on every single important issue since Hapless Hank Duffy peed down his leg in the 80's and allowed security screening and drug testing to pass by unmolested.

It's been downhill ever since... TC

i'd be willing to bet that the majority of ual pilots couldn't name all their express "partners" if given a multiple choice quiz. sad, but true. i think in their present state, they have their own problems to deal with.

would be nice if alpa would do something, but i certainly ain't holding my breath.

That pretty much sums up my feelings towards UAL pilots and ALPA as a group. They sit idly by (again....as a group)while union flying is replaced by non union flying on their own property. We all know that there are many individual pilots at UAL that feel the same way and that individual pilots have no power to act on their own. So.....I have no hard feeling towards any individual but....as a group they can all [verb] my [body part].

Nice to see such a mature response from a true professional. Do us all a favor and keep your pants zipped.

As far as the union / non-union bit, I agree that some noise should have been made even though it would have not changed a thing. Perhaps there is also a bit of a motivation problem at play here. Afterall, when you keep wathcing mainline flying vanish knowing it will never return, you start to become numb to the whole thing.

Besides, since crashpad pointed it out it must be true. We are far too busy figuring out creative ways to harass jumpseaters and push forward our political agendas to worry about who are feed is.

It is quite clear that it is becoming "every man for himself".

We, as pilots, have lost the war for our profession. We have to try to stop it, but it is too late. There is a paradigm shift ocurring that will likely never be changeable.
