Apparently flight from PHL struck wingtip on landing around 9:30 am yesterday. Landing rwy 31, winds 260/35 gusts 50kts+.

A friend of mine was on the flight. Anyone have more info?

Liar. Runway 31 in BNA is for decoration only. I've never actually seen anybody use it!

Gup

There is a keyword for use. Operational Necessity. Ive seen it several times actually. It really pisses the controllers off though

I've used 31 at BNA before, without making a special request for it. It may not be the preferred runway, but it certainly available to the tower if winds dictate its use.

My guess is that it’s not true but if your certain you may want to contact the FAA, apparently they don’t know about it yet. I just checked the preliminaries and this is the only wing tip issue that I see.
