...in Daytona.

Why?

Why doesn't Mesa do the ground ops for the Mesa flights into DAB?

There are no Air Whisky flights into DAB, just Mesa.

I don't get it...but I'll assume this happens alot.

I asked the AWAC/United agents in PWM one day about it. Something to the effect that Air Wisconsin has separate (and profitable) ground ops contracts with United for another 2-3 years. It's just business as usual, sort of. As an aside, they're totally cool. They treat us very well.

awac just picked up the daytona ground handling this month. it used to be (with the ground ops in chicago) that 30% of awac's profit came from the ground handling stuff alone. it does make it easier when your own company does the handling for the flights, no turf wars.

I'm just curious where that 30% came from. I have never heard that information before (not that it isn't true), and wonder if it's published somewhere.

Oh NO! Air Whiskey does the Customer Service in IAD for United Express as well! What's that, we should let Mesa do it.
