Since the Rudes' lawyer have sent out a letter saying there are "false statements" from employees with a "vendetta" against the company, I thought I would share some undisputed facts about Air Tahoma, Inc and the Rude family.
Fact: Air Tahoma has actively pursued it's vendetta against their former employees. For me they have repetedly called my employeer, trying to get me fired, by telling them I was posting things about them on this very message board(i'm shure calling my employeer for that reason is illegal in some way). They also led a campain to have me put on the TSA no fly list by calling the CVG airport police and telling them I had a "hit" put on their Chief Pilot when he went to the Philippines. Neither of which lead to anything.
Fact: Air Tahoma has screwed me out of approx. $2000 because of things Noel Rude couldn't "account" for. Items that I was told by Noel were taken care of before I left there. They tried to hold my last paycheck until I called the Ohio Department of Labor. Seems ODL is very familiar with Air Tahoma's practices.
Fact: Air Tahoma is trying to get the flightinfo forums shut down because of them allowing posts about them on this board. If anyone wants a copy of the letter please PM me.
Fact: With the exception with Bud Rude's wife, every member of the Rude family holds a mamagement within the company(most are FAR 119 positions). Both Bud and Kathy Rude have crashed airplanes.
Fact: Noel Rude is NOT a pilot, or has ever been one. He is a bean counter that knows to talk a good talk.
Fact: Air Tahoma has a very bad MX record and relibility rate with their customers. Their only saving grace is they are one of the few with a 121 ticket with an airplane their size.
Fact: Air Tahoma commits to their customers contracts they know they cannot fully comply with. Then they expect their pilots to fix the problems when they do. You don't have to take my word for it, just ask Active Aero why they will not give Air Tahoma a charter.
Fact: Air Tahoma's pilot pay and QOL are very poor. Don't believe me, ask anyother former Air Tahoma pilot on this board. One instance they screw the pilot is if they are displaced for, training or otherwise, they do not get paid. If you don't fly, you don't get paid EVEN if the company is the reason your not flying. Most new employees are told on their first meeting with Bus Rude that he "dosent care about them and hates pilots because they don't do what he says".
Fact: Air Tahoma requires it's pilots to live in Columbus, when your only in Columbus MAYBE 10% of the time. I was told by Bud Rude this was "how you control the pilots".
Fact: Air Tahoma's Director of Operations(assistant maybe?) is the Captain that crashed N586P. Rumors are now he is flying the line again.
Fact: Most of Air Tahoma's Captains have crashed airplanes, or been violated, or both.
Fact: Air Tahoma's Cheif Pilot is one of the most angry, sad, and strange people you can ever meet. He personally has pushed to many pilots to be fired or done wrong. But nomatter how many people he runs off, they still keep him around.
Fact: Air Tahoma's Chief Pilot has been trying to spread rumors that the FBI has arrested me for child pornography. They were susposed to have siezed my computer after they investigated me when i had a "hit" put on him when he went to the Philippines. But that's news to me, if they took my computer I wouldn't be writing this! Besides, isn't he the one that drives little kids on the church bus?
Fact: In the past three years there has not been a pilot left there that Air Tahoma screwed over.
Fact: Air Tahoma tried VERY hard to get IFL introuble with the FAA last year bacause of all their flying and the fact they were part 125. Air Tahoma very much so had a vendetta against them, but in the end were sent away from a meeting in Pontiac with their tail tucked between their leg!
Fact: Air Tahoma has fired pilots for writing up MX items and grounding airplanes. This has happened in the last six months. Also Air Tahoma forced one pilot to quit when he refused to fly an airplane with MAJOR MX problems. They did not fire him, but told dispatch not to schedual him to fly because he would not fly the airplane.
Fact: Air Tahoma's training program is very substandard. Even when we had people that cared it was substandard because the Rude's would not give us enough time to train new pilots to proficiency in the airplane. Also Air Tahoma now only has one Check Airman for both airplanes. Thier check airman has been known to "pencil whip" checkrides.
Fact: Air Tahoma has fired pilots because they refused to jumpseat for company business. They were also banned from jumpseating on ALPA carriers.
Fact: Air Tahoma tried to force a pilot to sign a training contract about a week AFTER he recieved his type in the airplane. This pilot already had close to two years at the company and did nothing but a good job the whole time he was there.
Fact: Air Tahoma still abuses the US Air jumpseat.
Fact: If Air Tahoma ever took anybody to court, I know of about 30 former employees that would testify against the company(most of which are members of this website and I keep in contact with). I hope you read that part real carefully Noel......
I'm shure there are alot more facts about the company Air Tahoma dosen't want to come out. One thing they cannot dispute is all the facts listed above are VERIFIABLE by myself and other former employees. It is very surprising to me a company with so many internal problems they would be so worried about an internet message board! I do not post this message to "smear" Air Tahoma, I post it because of the first ammendant I have the right to say what I feel about the company. Why don't they worry about fixing their problems so people won't have anything to talk bad about instead of trying to keep their problems all botteled up!
However I will offer Air Tahoma some advise, if they want people to stope their "vendetta" against them, maybe they need to stop their vendetta against other people.
