I'm no fan of the Air Inc propaganda machine but...just interviewed at Comair and 15 of 19 who interviewed the same day were recruited at an Air Inc seminar.

Re: your reading what you want to

Publishers said:
At AEPS and at WIA, they pay'd to be there. At Air Inc, they do not. I think it is a fair assessment that when the company pays, they are there because they want people. That said, there is a bit more than a little PC in attending WIA.

Publishers,

What do you mean by your last sentence? I don't understand.

Women in Aviation has done well as Peggy has put the airlines and other companies in a position where it is politically correct to be there at that convention whether they need people or not.

WIA puts on an excellent meeting. An interesting aside is that there are not many more women entering avaition today than years ago however the portion that has a career in airlines in mind has grown considerably to where most that go into it are there to make it a life's career.

Comair?

172,

I'm very confused and frustrated. How did you get an interview with Comair when you don't even meet their minimums? Are you from the Academy? Does your dad work there? I would LOVE to get an interview with Comair but I didn't think I had a chance with my little ol' 2600 hours. UUUUUUUGGGGHHHH! Well, good luck anyway. I'm sending my resume this week with FINALLY over 200 multi-engine. I thought minimum meant that was the lowest number of hours you could have to qualify?!?!?!?

Jeff

210,

Yes, I'm from the academy. Minimums are still 1000/100 for us with 800 hrs dual given at the academy. The interview is guaranteed, as I'm sure you've seen in the ads. It's a good place to be right now and I feel very fortunate to have made the choice to come here. I wish you the best of luck in landing an interview. Comair seems like a terrific company to work for.

HIRED

172driver got hired!!! Congratulations, friend! You are well deserving and will make a great addition to Comair. I hope to drive you up in seniority sometime soon ;)

Congrats to all the DCA folks (and others) who were hired from last weeks interviews. What an awesome opportunity in today's environment!

way to go 172

Good job!

Academy or not, you're a lucky guy(girl?) and I'm jealous. Comair seems to be one of the strongest regionals over the past 2-3 years that I've been in the game/struggle!! Enjoy and do well. Look out for the crazy Baron drivers aruond Nashville. I'ts not that we can't taxi, we're just tryin to catch a few last minute ZZZZZZZZZ's!!!!! God bless.

Jeff
