Re: Honesty

Our industry has truly reached a new low. Every once in a while I get to read a true classic thread and this is one.

Here we have a job that two years ago anybody with ANY quals wouldn't have even bothered to p*ss on and now look at this cr*p. Well, it's the same cr*p job, same pompous chief pilot, but now has little sniveling runts yapping at his heels. How sad this truly is boys. Have a little self esteem. This job sounds bad, looks bad, smells bad, and even has it's chief admitting it's bad.

13 days off? Is that a joke. Try 13 days on.

20 minute callout?? Pass me that crack pipe. Reality takes a big vacation.

Do not hand away all your quality of life for a piece of garbage job like this. Go to Home Depot or Walmart. Things will never improve there if they have guys willing to take that kind of crap. If nobody will take a garbage job like this they'll have to improve the offer. Putting food on the table is one thing. Being completely exploited and abused is another. The big problem here is that old Yip tells you the job s&cks up front. So you can't complain later when you are getting totally shafted.

This makes me sad. Yip, you got T-28 and S-2 time? Holy Moly Yip, you must be as old as dirt. You'd think by now you'd have gotten a real job.

And BTW, I saved the most interesting part for last. I loved your comment to Ty about how he wouldn't be a good fit. Yeah, it sounds to me like he has some self esteem and doesn't appreciate the prospect of taking it up the *ss EVERY day he goes to work.

And your final comment is a classic. He'd be a Capt making $80k, 13 days off a month......... I almost fell off my chair. Your inference obviously was that he made a huge mistake passing on your company. I think the last time I heard anything like that it was a jealous girl in high school who was mad at me because I took someone else to the prom. She cried and said it was the biggest mistake of my life and some day I'd realize it and be so sorry I passed on her. LOL. Grow up girly. It's pretty obvious now why you never made it any higher than some cr#ppy cargo outfit. BTW, just so you know, in the real world, flying a DC-9 for $80k 18 days per month...............SUCKS.......Back to reality.

For Ty guy
It is called honesty, we do not want to sell something that is different than what we have. So we are up front. Most of our guys working here are somewhat happy, they get great training, their pay is above average, 6 figures in 6 years, they are going to have a variable days off schedule of thier choice, working whatever you want between 14 days of and 8 days off every 28 day bid period. communter lines 7 days off in a row. When airline hiring is going on, our guys end up with fantastic resumes and get hired by just about everyone, from EJA, Air Tran, Spirit, American etc. Right now no one is leaving. We are only looking for a few good pilots, 8-12 in the next year. But it is hard work and we do not hide that. Ask for input from USA Jet pilots on this board and ask them what they think, I may be out to lunch. My interview schedule in filled through January, with some extremely qualifed pilots. Our pool has some great highly motivated prospective pilots, who think flying for USA Jet is the right move for them. Besides the flying is fun, no routine routes, different airports, but it is not for everyone. I am glad you elected not to answer our invite, you probalby would not have fit in at USA Jet. Pax ops start next year, you would have been a DC-9 Captain, making about 80K, 13 days off per month, by now, but who cares.

Re: PilotYIP

OMG Airjobs,

Wipe off your chin. You missed some.

Hey Yip, don't make any sudden turns in the hallway....you'll break Air's nose.

Dear PilotYIP,

I attended the DC AirInc seminar. Unfortunately the pager went off just before the "job-fair" portion.

My company was desperately seeking an F/O (urgent!, emergency!, Can you help us out?) so, being the kind of guy that I am, I raced to the airport to do my part.

Unfortunately that meant that I did not have the opportunity to speak with you. After hearing your presentation I was sold. You made it sound challenging, fun, and exciting and I had really hoped I would have the chance to talk with you about it further.

I did, however, manage to get my hands on an application and mailed that to a friend of mine (one of your pilots) to walk in for me.

What are the chances that, given a deeper recession or war with iraq, there will be furloughs at USAjet? Obviously there are no guarantees in this industry and, although my wife and I are anxious to move to the Detroit area, we want to make sure that we would be making an educated decision.

I hope that I will have the opportunity to interview with you soon and have that conversation that I missed out on in DCA. I am excited about the possibility of joining the USAJet family and finally enjoying a little stabilty in my so-far turbulent aviation career.

Respectfully,
Mike in PIT

plus a burning desire to live in Detroit within 5 miles of YIP, on a pager with a 20 minute call out for trips of a 3 hours or 3 weeks duration. We never had a line at our booth.

Wonder why????

This is a joke right??? Step away from the bong!!!

So do you guys like lay around all day in a flight suit waiting for the alarm?

Clown,

Don't hold back man! Tell us how you really feel!

Yip,

From one Ex-Nav guy to another, You have to admit that clown makes a few good points. Come on man, when you add it all up, detroit, 20 min callouts, 18 days on, $80k after x# years, where's the upside? Might be an acceptable stepping stone for the young guns but I find it hard to believe that any of us 30, 40, 50, somethings would ever plan on this being the pinnacle of our aviation career.
Sorry brudda, I know you've got a job to do but just callin it like I'm seeing it. Kinda reminds me of the Nav's recruiting slogan during the 80's. (which we slightly amended for every westpac)
"It's not just a job, it's a blowjob"
Sorry moderators, just couldn't help myself.

Rice

Hey clownpilot(aka zeek&windbag)

Nobody cares about your rants. And with all those alleged ratings you have and ONLY 5000 hours, you must have been run off every job you've been on. Go back to your crack pipe, loser.

That Hurts

Zeek,

Calling me a loser was unprofessional and not very christian of you.

I will ask God to forgive you. I will ask him to overlook your ignorance and help you to find peace in life. I will ask him to pull hard on your ankles to attempt to extract your head from your *ss.

You have offended me and I expect an apology.

I have only had two jobs.
This one one and the Navy.

Good guess. The Navy did run me out. Sorta.

After you read this please feel free to stick your head back up your *ss.........although your CAP posts were kind of funny in an unbalanced way.
