Dysfunctional and unnatural, maybe. Hilarious, definitely!

I laughed so hard, I almost fell out of my chair.

Nothing like a good, old USAFA prank -- I hope the kid had a good sense of humor about it.

Definitely hilarious, and it looked like Dancin' Boy thought so too. At the end he's laughing.

And quite possibly, Dancin' Boy learned a more applicable lesson from this prank than what he learned his entire year in the classroom. I mean, I'm assuming he's a future fighter-jock, but his actions and pattern was so predictable that Camera Boy was able to set him up with startling ease.

Basically, he danced himself right into an ambush.

What's that definition about the difference between The Hunter and the The Hunted?...something about the former being able to predict the behavior of the latter, while remaining unpredictable to them. It would seem to me this notion would be central to fighter pilot success, and those forgetting it wind up as meat.

A great deal of important learning has possibly occurred here. He!!, we may have just witnessed Camera Boy saving Dancin' Boy's life!!! Perhaps they should incorporate this into the classroom syllabus over there... Dancin' Boy's legendary status would surely live on then.

...you guys know my standard disclaimer..."I'm just a fighter pilot, and I may be wrong..."

No disrespect Albie, but what does that mean? I see you post that a lot. I am curious.

There is only one thing to say about that besides the obvious.....he is not the white boy I am. Haaha.....at least he was a good sport about it.

Sweet! I've been looking for some new moves .......

But what I REALLY want to know is - what happened to the bed units?

I noticed that too. I guess the label "skywalker" is going to be lost in folklore.

Adios,

CB

...what that disclaimer on my post means is I know who am I where my expertise lies--and doesn't lie! I don't claim have all the right answers (like some of the geniuses on the boards!)

We have a lot of guys and gals on the boards who know claim to know a LOT about a LOT of issues. My point is for the last 17 years most of my work experience revolved around driving metal through the sky and training to shoot down other pieces of metal. I'm not a union expert. I am not a CPA or airline cost accountant. I don't claim to be smarter or know more about the industry than anyone else. It also means that I recognize I have a whopping 3 years experience (going on 4) in the 121 industry, and I don't have the experience of some guys who have seen a lot more ups and downs in the business (ie. UAL78 and Profile to name just 2). It means my thoughts are opinions only... I also hope it conveys a sense of "gentlemanly discussion" verses a shouting match. I always try to post as if I were having a discussion with another pilot in a bar or hotel lobby. If I won't say it out loud, then I won't post it.

Thanks Albie. Although I may not always agree with your posts. You never show malice and always seem to encourage discusion in an adult manner.

But this is life...

And the USAF has another "Disco" on it's hands:)

I saw this a few months ago. I think we were all set up by the dancer and his roommate.

If not, if I was the dancer I would say it was a set up. or is that quibbling. Dang funny, anyhow.

The 50 cent part was cool but once C&C started bumping I had to question the guys 'orientation' not that there's anything wrong with that ;)

But seriously, from the stories I've heard from my buds that are former zoomies, just getting through four years is tough enough. I also learned what IHTFP meant.

A future airline kernal...for sure.

The lessons learned at AFA carry you for life. Great Dink humor with the video and I agree the guy was a great sport. Part of what the place teaches you is that you are part of a "system -- it is a military system." You are being trained to be a leader of men as an Officer in the USAF. Part of that means getting over yourself and laughing at yourself. Leaders know that. These two guys are well on their way. You make your own fun in the military when you spend a year remote in Korea (away from your family) and during your third/fourth Desert Rotation for 120-180 days at a time. Harmless fun by these two. Less anyone forget, the class of 2005, right now will graduate in 6 weeks into a wartime environment. They step off the stage into "big shoes." To lead others to die if necessary for our country ... nobody wants that, but cut the place some slack. Thank God for their service and pray the left wing crowd gives the Zoo some breathing room. They've beat the institution up fiercely over the last half dozen years. Of course it has problems. Any civilian institution has got an equal number of problems. My UPT classmate's (ROTC) Frat had the girls bathroom bugged in the Frat house so they could listen in ... I'm sure it is worse today.
Old School USAFA ... Bring me Men (no offense to gals at USAFA -- I applaud their courage and dedication)
