Air fare questions....?

Anyone remind me why:

1. A round-trip airfare is usually cheaper or the same price as a one-way?

2. An airline gives a rat's a$$ if I have a Saturday night stay?

3. A ticket from Dallas to Austin can be danm near the same fare as Dallas to LAX?

4. Code-sharing isn't considered collusive?

#4 is corruption.
