Can't say I know all the rules, or the circumstances, but this may give you hope. When I was finishing up the AF's Fixed-wing qualification course at Vance AFB, there was a LTCOL that was just begining his T-37 training. He had his wings already from the rotory world, but he was right there with the studs at UPT doing his conversion over to 135's I believe. He was in his mid 40's. If it works out for you, just know that you will not be alone in the pain that is AETC.
