This is absolute BS! Did you people ever take a money management class? Most of you who are for it have been making well over six figures (even after 9/11) for the past 20 years and you still can't figure out how to retire? Thats pathetic! Everyone knew the game when they started- age 60 and you were gone. If you are not ready for retirement by age 60, regardless of what age they mandate for retirement, you'll still not be ready. Everyone knows how unstable this industry is, and that should have been accounted for as you accrued funds for your retirement throughout your years of service. Bottom line, More work for less money- and shame on ALPA for supporting this. Even if they KNEW it was going to happen anyway, they should have sided with the MAJORITY of the ALPA membership, and not supported it. Props to APA for at least voicing out against this.

Total crap. The goverment doesn't care about experienced pilots. If they did then the airlines couldn't hire 250hr wonders.
