Anyone heard of an age 60 or older pilot being hired by regional?
Do you consider them a regional?Southwest hired 24 of them this month!!!
Why would they go to a regional? They can just go down to their local McDonalds and join their senior citizen workforce program and make more money dishing out Big Macs and coffee. I see this all the time. [removed "and"] They seem to be very happy and take pride in their jobs. [revised run-on sentence]

That happened quite a bit at ACA for J41 transitions to the CRJ. Not sure that the pilot's age had much to do with it though. Ultimately, the CRJ is easier to fly once you figure out which button(s) to push.AWAC recently hired a 60 year old. His previous experience was in a Beech 1900 and couldnt handle the automation of the CRJ. He dropped out during sim.
