I don't know. I've been trying to keep up with all the new threads you've posted - - 4 in 4 minutes on 4 forums. Wow!

If the airplane I saw on the news clip was the one ( a cabin class twin recip ), it had a Canadian registration number on it.
 
It was a Canadian registered Cessna 340 that had departed Knoxville, TN to Gaithersberg, MD. It was on an IFR flight plan, and took a lightning hit that knocked out (fried) the avionics. The pilot and pax were interviewed and released.
 
What bugs the heck out of me is...

that I saw this guy (the Cessna Pilot) interviewed, and he obviously does not want to take responsibility for the goof. I'm sorry, but the PIC on this flight was NOT the student pilot, it was the rated pilot. This guys deserves the revocation.
