FYI - that crash in Iraq a couple days ago had 3 STS guys, an Iraqi pilot and a furloughed (now AD) US Air pilot - used to fly with him AD and BS with him a month ago at a meeting. Sad. Not only are we losing jobs we are losing friends.
It was published - Maj Brian Downs from Hurlburt Field. Mem service was today at 1500.

"Here's a toast to the host of those who love the vastness of the sky,

To a friend, we send the message of his brother men who fly.

We drink to those, who gave their all of old,

Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold.

A toast to a host of men we boast, the US Air Force."

---3rd verse of The Air Force Song
My prayers go out to his family.

**CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** it. Brian was a UPT classmate. I did not know it was him.

Anyone at Hurlburt know when memorial services are or am I already too late?

If anyone has a link with the information and names I would appreciate you posting it here.

Albie - the service was yesterday - Fri at 1500L at Hurlburt. Too late, sorry.
I flew with Brian in my last AD squadron - saw him 3 weeks ago at a meeting and BSd with him and have deployed many times with his cousin, an MH53 driver.
