There were probably about 200-250 pilots there and about a dozen airlines: Transmeridian, Express.net, Tradewinds, Kalitta, Omni, Colgan, Falcon Air, Arrow, and a few others I think. Completely free and no sales pitch at all for Aeroservices type ratings (that really surprised me). The lines are very long, so be prepared to stand in line for a while if you decide to go to the next one. I stood in line for over an hour to talk to Tradewinds. I talked to Tradewinds, Express.net, and Kalitta. They all said that they would be looking over the resumes next week and calling people for interviews in the next few weeks. Hopefully it works out. Definitely not a waste of time if you're interested in working for any of the supplemental cargo companies.

Is Omni hiring on the DC-10 or 757? I have heard pretty good things about Omni.

I didn't talk to Omni personally since I don't meet the mins (don't have the 1000 PIC), but according to the info they passed out they are looking for both 757 and -10 drivers. Everyone at the career fair had heard good things about them also. Home basing and all that good stuff. Apparently you need to have quite a bit of time to be competitive though.

I know Omni picked up a bunch of National 757 pilots and a few aircraft. If you get on their DC-10s, prepare to spend a lot of time in Frankfurt on MAC flights - great beer!

WTF, you're flying for an airline and don't have 1000 PIC, dude, WTF am I doing wrong?

I think he may have meant turbine PIC.

Believe it or not, there's quite a few pilots at the regionals that don't come close to 1000 PIC. Look at CoEx. They've been hiring lots of guys with less than 1000 TT, let alone PIC. What's your ME time, maybe that's what's holding you back from getting the interviews?
