I'd like to take a few hours of aerobatics from a GOOD instructor (not Capt. Hey I was a fighter pilot 37 years ago and I think I recall how to do a roll, but we can always make it a split S)

I'd like to do it in something affordable (an aerobat or something like that)

I'd like to do it in the South East

Suggestions????

I'd love to combine this with some glider training, aerobatics in a glider would be fun fun fun. Just don't overload those big wings!

How about Bill Kershner in Sewanee, TN? He still does some aerobatic instruction in an Aerobat I think. Last month's Flight Training magazine had an article on his spin training.

I recommend Greg Koontz in Alabama. But he uses a Super Decathlon and a Pitts, no gliders. Now, the place in PA that I do my tailwheel and aerobatics training from (Van Sant) has plenty of gliders. Maybe you should take a trip. :-)

Look into the Embry Riddle Aerobatic Club. I think that's what it's called. They have a Pitts S2B(N260AB, formerly belonged to Randy Gagne, RIP) and a glider. Last I heard, it's only $100 an hour(plus instructor) for the Pitts including fuel. You have to pay something like $500 for a one time fee to join, but then there's no annual fee. I have no affiliation with the club, so I can't vouch for any of their instructors. Check out their website, though. It's open for anybody to join, as far as I know.

Isn't "Riddle Aerobatics" an oxymoron? I can just picture it now:

"OK, now follow this checklist procedure precisely step by step to do a loop, because you're training from day 1 to be an Aerobatic Airline Pilot!"
