I nailed this one. Said it wouldn't last a year.

I wish these idiots would stop creating these dumb airlines that only do a dis-service to the entire airline industry and people's careers.

Again, the top Skybus management including former CEO Diff-in-dumb should forfeit his bonuses and pay to go toward helping his 450 unemployed workers and families transition in this recession economy.

Hello idiots that want to start airline!! Look at this list of defunct airlines..(Source WIKI).

Best day in aviation so far this year. Lets hope Mesa is next!

Wishful thinking Mookie. VA has Sir Branson's cash backing them up. Oh yeah, I forgot... they are not foreign owned. But, Branson still has a lot of cash.

Yes but how much do you think he is willing to lose before he throws in the towel?

okay I will say it. Who says it was about anything but making money at the expense of the flying public and employees? Just think what would happen if each pilot group held their companies to a standard. Okay, so you don't see HUGE growth, but see a growth commensurate with the size of a regional flying props.

I hereby declare April 5th to be "SkyBust Day". From this day forward, let us all celebrate this day in remembrance of flat-busted bottom feeders.

Now.... where's that SkyBust pilot who used to extoll the virtues of his SkyBust stock options?

Where did he do this? Dig up his old threads, I will ridicule him. What a whore.

Sir you are receiving this citation for DWP (Drinking While Posting). Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of public ridicule, I see you have already waved your right to remain silent. You don't have the right to an attorney, he couldn't help you anyway.:D

OK regional FO.....You must know it all

One of the first to go to skybus was (SURPRISE!) a scumbagging Gojet pilot who was also a former flight manager for a certain Indian-owned airline who stabbed his fellow aviators in the back to form alter-ego-jet.

Good certainly DOES go around.

Enjoy unemployment DT.

always nice to have competition in the business, too bad these guys couldn't make it. Hopefully ASA is next to go, though.

I hope this doesn't discourage folks from trying startups...always good to have fresh faces and new business models tested out, competition is a good thing.

Ja! Und viel Spaß!

wouldn't surprise me a bit to see him come back ...

Here ya go siucavflight: (posted 10-18-2007)

Good post! Bravo. I for one am hopping to interview and give them a look.

-rapid upgrade with $85-90K year income inside 1 year

-Be number 70 out of 1200 pilots inside 5 years!

-15 days off a month average lines

-Profit share (a company that actually stands a chance at a profit to boot!)

-Stock options

-Few overnights (home every night) - yes I can live in CMH

-65 brand new airplanes with factory maintenance

-young, excited, and motivated management and labor force

That's worth a look for me.. sorry if it's not everyones cup of tea, but I for one think the down side of skybus is no worse than what CAL and UAL are doing to major airline pilot pay.. They have no excuse.. they're not even start ups, and in the case of UAL, they've wiped out most of their debt with the help of the tax payer, so why not share a bit of the wealth with their pilots?

And another gem from 12-3-2007:

This company has by far the best chance to be the next SWA in the industry.. I'm home every night, and I get more days off than I've ever had before.. I earn more in my 2nd and 3rd year than all but a small handful of airlines and I get a serious amount of stock options. More over, the DO himself stated he's working very hard to raise wages, and the Teamseters are already knocking on the door to make sure of it. Any one who thinks $65K/yr will last more than a couple of years is either an idiot, or naive.. This isn't Swift! This pace has ex major airline guys crawling all over it.. they're their for a good pay day, not $65K That's just short sighted to see that and fixate on it.
