DALPA understands and realizes the cost benefits that allowing regional service, commuter, etc... to fly for Delta. It's good for the company and a bargaining chip for their negotiations.

It was as simple as that about 15 years ago... However, DALPA was so shortsighted to see what management would be capable of with new technology like the RJ.

Too bad, so sad. Now Delta pilots suffer from their own mistakes, and ultimately the commuter/Regional pilots (C scale mainline) are in the same big pot just wearing different color stripes on our shoulders making 2/3 less than we should.

You can thank your Mainline union for negotiating your pay scale and continuing scope to battle thier own mistake.

ASA AINT UPS, FEDEX, CONTINENTAL, AIRTRAN,FRONTIER, or anybody like that!!!!!

For crying out loud, we are a darn regional....that feeds a bankrupt mainline carrier. Lets be more reasonable with our expectations.

Yeah, you're right... SkyWest Inc. actually made more net profit than UPS, Continental, Airtran, and Frontier!!! If you'd like to educate yourself look it up on page 37 of the July 2006 issue of ATW(Air Transport World). Ignorance is bliss???!!!!

Careful there 79%,

You just posted something with a hint of common sense. You may be lumped with the likes of Joe Merchant ;)

No, actually he made an uninformed statement... See post regarding the fact that SkyWest Inc. actually made more net profit than all the airlines he mentioned except Fedex. If you too would like to educate yourself see page 37 of the July issue of ATW and use a hint of some common sense!
