So I fractured two ribs yesterday and of course I am taking pain killers for it.

I have an interview in the middle of the month. I should be at least able to get myself into a simulator. However, my concern was the pain killer I have taken. I am sure it will show up on the pre employment drug test. Do I just bring the prescription to the interview? I currently have two months off so I am not flying on them.

Wondering if anybody has been down this path and can offer some advice?

Thanks!

You shouldn't have to provide any information to the specimen collector. When the MRO (medical review officer) calls you, If he calls you at all, make sure you provide him with the prescription. It's a non-event

And document the prescription very well, I might even go as far as getting a letter from my doc explaining what happened and why you are on the meds. Not that you wouldn't anyways, but disclose the doctors visit on your next medical.
