Black Hawk, there will be three stacks at UAL, one for college degrees, one W/O college degrees and a third W/O college degrees with 2000 hr TJ PIC and previous 121 Check Airman Status. They will draw from pile # 3 before they go to the bottom of pile #1.
seems to me that the best way to change things at a company or industry is while you work in it. i think all you're doing now is losing a good seniority number.
And which regional exactly pays that much the first year?
Ok, I know skipping college will probably allow you to get hired into the regionals a few years early so you can start building that coveted jet time. I have one question though, what do you do if you lose your medical? It can happen to anyone, anytime. Without a degree, it's almost a definate go strait back to the local FBO, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Is getting to a $20,000/year job a couple years early worth the risk of being forced into a lineboy position again at age 30? Even FBO managers are required to have degrees now.
