We at ACA may have taken a 3% cut, but we are still second only to CMR in pay. I would hardly call that lowering the bar (especially when our 32 -seat rates are higher than Mesa's 50-seat rate.) As far as narrowbody rates, we are -- in essence -- starting a brand new airline with 13-year seniority pilots, and you gotta compete. At a top end pay of $140 an hour, I see us in the middle of the pack. We'll raise the bar in 2007.
This sends a signal to the industry that the pilots are behind the LCC venture and dead set against a Mesa takeover. We want to save our airline from being acquired by Wal-Mart.
The NC did an outstanding job.
