Well, after the bankruptcy of UAL, we had 7 new hires in the next CRJ class. Only one CRJ class was cancelled. Still taking deliveries of new CRJ's as planned...forget the exact numbers, but enough so we need to train more people (if memory serves...about 20 new planes in the next 14-16 months). Pool still fairly full, but VERY limited (<---read bridge program or resume walkin only) interviews still taking place. Rumors of 70 seat RJ's...don't believe it until you see at the hangar...
So all in all...very short term: no real changes...small slow down in hiring/training but that is also due to reaching max. # of pilots required for projected fleet. Longer term: captains on reserve for like 100 yrs and same for FO's as no one is going anywhere...
Still a great place to work for...not perfect, but always trying to be better...there's worse places to work (or not work) than ACA...
Hope that helps...
